This portable DVD player is a nice surprise! This Philips PD7016 DVD player is the best product can be in the vehicle. I know because I had two DVD players before. This double-disc DVD player can play DVD 2 for two different screens at once or you want to play a DVD on two screens at once (connect the cable for the connection with others). And should notice that this is Philips PD7016 which was on saled a few months ago and not PD7012 (almost made me select the wrong one)

Volume

The volume of this player is a very powerful. And if you aren’t satisfied and want it louder! you can connect it to your car audio via FM transmitter (but for my opinion, only the sound that come out with its dual speaker is enough and incredible!)

Playback

This Dual screen player can resume playback from where it’s stopped and also can choose to playback all from the beginning. And no need to worry about how bumpy and vibration of the car, Philips PD7016 doesn’t skip any track and play smoothly.

Appearance

The best thing that I like is it’s appearance. It’s cool looking and fit with your car perfectly. One inconvenient thing is about a lot wires it has. 1 wire for Power of both players that branches into 2 wires, another wire that allows both screen to show the same playback, wire for the headphones and also another wire if you wanted to connect a zune or other video source. But as I can put the cables next to the chair in my car so they aren’t flying all over inside the car and barely visible.

Nice Product
I bought this product because I had a long trip coming. It is was very easy to set it up conisdering that I have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 10 month baby so the youngest has to be backwards still, even though i was able to pull it up wit no problems. It is not really easy to use cause you have to press different buttons to navigate through the Main Menu of the videos, but once you can do it the image quality and sound are very good.

I bought this hoping to replace the two Phillips individual DVD players that I had (that had MAJOR USE) that eventually died. I read the reviews, and somehow missed that they DON’T HAVE BATTERIES! Now I will clarify my usage – I use these for when we travel (not daily use). We use them in the car (road trips), airport, and on the plane (especially). It would be nice to have double players because I have a 3 and 6 yr old, who sometimes don’t agree on movies. On our first roadtrip with the new players (4.5 hrs), the kids had a great time, and the car was SILENT (used headphones). All I needed to do was just adjust the settings to go from one player to the other. Great idea to link the two (also start up where the DVD left off when the car is turned off).

Portable DVD Player
Bought this unit to have in our car for my son. My thought was that it could be used as two separate dvd players. The units are separate but power cable for car was only one plug to power them both. I was able to buy a few parts and make another car power supply. Dvd player works great been using it for about a month. Picks up where you leave off even if its been unplugged. Loud enough to have windows open and still hear it.

About this Megatron Action Figure

Finally, the latest movie version Dark of the Moon figure of Megatron is on sale! The big improvement is better proportioned and more satisfying in Alt mode. With the first movie version of Megatron, it’s biggest problem was the too plain Alt Mode. They were not convincing, it was just a robot folded up under the wings. And with the next movie version Revenge of the Fallen, it was not good either that his face was exposed in the vehicle mode, and horribly disproportionate of his arms. Fortunately, this latest action figue has been improved to eliminate all the complaint. I can say that this is the best movie version of Megatron.

Good Things

• His MechTech fusion cannon can be changed easily. No need for replacing his arm and hand anymore.
• Transformation is quite easy and exciting.
• Excellent vehicle mode.
• His mangled face looks cool!
• The Articulation is very good, he can be posed in variety of action without balancing problem.
• His cloak looks impressive in the robot mode and can be removed to allow the movement of his left arm.
• The vehicle mode has more realistic action (the trailer can be rotated to simulate)
• MechTech weapons is not too large, and fit perfectly in both modes.
• Very strong, solid figure.

Down Side

• I would like to have more movie look alike color in his parts (like forearms, chest panels and hid feet)
• His cloak doesn’t fit into any part in the vehicle mode.

My complaints are only minor things and are not effect overall quality of the figure. This is a fantastic figure, easy to transformer, but funny and very unique, it looks alike Megatron more than all the previous movie version. But I think it’s may be better if he was a bit bigger. Finally I recommend this megatron action figure to collectors, children and Transformers fans.

About Transformers : Dark of the Moon

In 1961, the Ark, a Cybertronian spacecraft carrying an invention capable of ending the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, crash lands on the far side of Earth’s moon. The crash is detected on Earth by NASA, and President John F. Kennedy authorizes a mission to put a man on the moon as a cover for investigating the craft. In 1969, the crew of Apollo 11 lands on the Moon to explore the craft.

In the present, the Autobots assist the United States military in preventing conflicts around the globe. During a mission to Chernobyl to investigate suspected alien technology, Optimus Prime finds a fuel cell from the Ark, discovering it had survived its journey from Cybertron. What is the best thing for this Action Figure

Optimus Prime is back with a new look and great detail! In my opinion this is the best version of the Voyager Optimus. I collect all the movie version of Optimus so we can say that this version is the best voyager class versions. The transformation is actually easier in this version compared to the other but if you are a parent buying this figure for a child aged 5-6 or less, you may need to help in the transformation. All the details are nearly the same as in movie, especially in his flat chest and arms. Optimus Prime Mech Tech featured a battle cannon, that converted from ion blaster. This figure is very tough in both vehicle or robot mode and with flexible poseability also ideal for display or play the battle scenes that you can imagine.
Bottom line This Optimus Prime Figure is a high quality, well made so I recommend this action figure to all Transformers fans and collectors as well.

This Toshiba’s Thrive has a lot of advantage comparing to most other tablets. With HDMI, mini-USB, USB support and SD card slot. Alongside with replaceable battery and easy to used built-in file management system.

Downside

The Thrive’s weight is quite heavy and its back camera has a bad placement. Come with replaceable battery concept but difficult to remove back side cover.

Normally, tablets are expected to be thin and light with easy to used interfaces. While the most popular tablets like the iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 are generally in concept of tablets. However, the Thrive poses an interesting question. Is a bulky tablet inherently a bad thing or can a tablet justify its extra mass?

Design

Although most of the other tablets, such as the Galaxy Tab 10.1, show desire for a thin, lightweight and minimalist as iPad 2 design. Toshiba develop the concept of Thrive into flexible and soft. Of course, its weight at 1.66 lbs compared to laptop or Netbook is relatively light. But at this weight, the Thrive is the heaviest tablet and is 0.63 inches thickness (almost twice as thick compared to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or IPAD 2).

Toshiba’s will is to make a tablet that answer the requirements of a typical laptop user. While Galaxy Tab 10.1 is thin, smooth, without ant ports, the Thrive is totally opposite.

The first thing that we noticed on the Thrive was the back that offers an easy grip grooved texture. Although our model had a black panel cover, the panel is detachable and can range from a group of five colors (green, purple, blue, pink and silver), to be replaced for $ 20 each. If you want to remove the cover, you need to use the nails to dig up the speaker terminals and then gently but firmly pull back. As the tablet is connected to the panel, during pulling, you can feel that something is broken, and even if something is not broke, we can not exclude the possibility and it’d be better if the cover can pulled out easily.

After removing the plate, there is a removable battery. You can remove or replace with an additional battery ($ 80). The battery measures 5.1×5.5 inches, depth 0.25 inches. Removing the battery is simpler and easier than remove the back cover, although replacing the battery and the cover is easy. You can also lock back cover in its place but it seems to be not necessary because it’s firmly attached if it’s placed properly. And be careful to notice the locked state because it may cause the back cover to break if you trying to pull it out while it’s locked.

If you play horizontally, the upper part of the tablet from left to right is power, volume, and rotation lock. Both the volume and rotation lock are easily accessible, but the power button a bit too deep.

On the opposite end is a full-size SD card slot, which support up to 128 GB. Near the power button on the edge are three LED that light up to indicate is when it’s turned on, charging the battery and Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is turned on.

In the lower right corner has the power and headphone output. Above them are hidden USB port, HDMI port and mini-USB port. Each of the sides at the bottom lie speaker. And in the middle at the bottom there is a dock connector.

Cameras are placed on both sides of the left side of the tablets. We found that if you want to use tablet horizontally, fingers, of course, block the rear lens. Although it is fairly easy to move your finger down and sideways, it is also less convenient to keep it like that.

Features

Inside, Toshiba develops 1-GHz dual-core processor with Nvidia Tegra 2 with 10.1-inch touchscreen at a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. All general sensor for tablet such as gyroscope, accelerometer, light sensor, digital compass and GPS are also included.

Pre-installed software includes LogMeIn, PrinterShare, Quickoffice HD and Need for Speed Shift. Toshiba also provide some free programs that Toshiba recommends to use with Thrive.

Toshiba also includes a video enchancement feature, which pumps the color and contrast of the video in standard definition, and although we have seen some improvements, it is very thin. Also the sound enchancement feature, but this feature significantly improves the sound quality of any audio when turned on. Plus Toshiba’s Ambient Noise Equalizer adjust volume base on the amount of noise in the environment.

The most useful and the best part of the Thrive is file manager. This application allows you to access directly to the native file system that allows you to access the hard drive, SD card or USB flash drive connection easily. Direct access to the files this way is a good link, comfortable, and you can manage your files in more detail.

Performance

Based on the honeycomb tablets, Nvidia Tegra 2 is based on the specification. The user interface is as agile as the other flourishing, and the performance of the camera with 720p video recording, as a standard honeycomb, which is very good, but not the best.

Screen output connection with HDMI and HD video playback was perfect, no problems with compression or bandwidth. In-Plane Switching (IPS) screen is almost the same level with other Honeycomb tablet. With a wide viewing angle, but it lacks the brightness and color saturation.

Our results show an extraordinary development of a battery is connected to other honeycomb tablets, but not as good as the iPad 2.

Summary

The 8 GB Toshiba Thrive is $ 430, 16GB and 32GB are rated accordingly at $ 480 and $ 580. I’m not saying that prices at the expense of memory and the ease with which determined the price for the tablets, but make no mistake: the Thrive’s starting price is very aggressive. At $ 430, is a challenge that only the 16GB version of the Asus Transformer ($ 400). With additional features, the 8 GB Thrive is better despite it’s offer less storage.
